Modern Slavery Policy
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
At Nicholas Lynch Ltd, we are committed to conducting business in a manner that respects human rights and adheres to the highest ethical standards. We firmly oppose all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking, whether in our own operations or within our supply chains.
We recognize the importance of maintaining a rigorous and transparent approach to ensuring that all individuals involved in the production and supply of our seafood products are treated with dignity and respect. Our commitment extends to ensuring that no part of our business, including the procurement of raw materials, manufacturing processes, and distribution networks, is complicit in or supports any form of slavery, human trafficking, or forced labour.
In line with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relevant Irish legislation, we have implemented robust policies and practices aimed at identifying, preventing, and addressing any risks of exploitation. These include:
1. Supplier Due Diligence: We conduct thorough checks and audits to ensure our suppliers uphold ethical labour standards and are in compliance with local and international laws regarding human trafficking and modern slavery.
2. Training and Awareness: We provide regular training to our employees and partners on recognizing signs of modern slavery and trafficking and understanding their role in reporting any suspicions.
3. Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continually improving our practices to eradicate modern slavery and trafficking from our operations and supply chains. We will continue to engage with industry stakeholders, non-governmental organizations, and legal authorities to maintain and improve our approach.
4. Accountability and Reporting: We maintain clear channels for reporting concerns regarding modern slavery and human trafficking, ensuring that any suspected violations are investigated and addressed promptly.
We believe that by taking these steps, we can contribute to a more ethical and responsible seafood industry, ensuring that our products are sourced in ways that promote fairness and human dignity.
